IDAL's Chairman, Eng. Nabil Itani, headed a fact finding mission to Stockholm - Sweden for three days to get a comprehensive picture of how Stockholm City has worked to create a knowledge economy and an environment for start-ups to flourish and develop a partnership with concerned entities to foster knowledge transfer between the 2 countries. Eng. Itani declared the visit very fruitful and shall provide Lebanon with the necessary expertise to reach the world; especially that IDAL is in the process of launching a business support unit that will provide free consulting services for start-ups.
IDAL Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani took part at the “ 7th China-Arab Entrepreneur Conference & the 5th Investment Seminar , China –Arab States Business Summit 2017, held on Sept 6-8 in Yinchuan –Ningxia. He also participated at at the Xi'an Silk Road Business Summit that took place on Sept 8-9, where he presented the advantages of the business environment in Lebanon and the investors` incentives granted by IDAL. Commenting this participation, Itani said: "Lebanon can play an important role in the Silk Road Initiative, and it is crucial for us to participate in such events which will nurture the means of cooperation with the Chinese to move this initiative forward".
Inaugurated on August 3, under the auspices of Prime Minister Saad Hariri represented by Minister of Communications Jamal Al Jarrah, IDAL participated at the "Planet Lebanon 2017" conference organized by the LIBC for the seventh time. IDAL `s presentation focused on the business environment in Lebanon, highlighting many encouraging indicators for investment in Lebanon, as well as the promising opportunities available in many productive sectors.
IDAL’s chairman Eng. Nabil Itani discussed ways to strengthen economic relations with the Egyptian Ambassador in Lebanon Nazih Al-Najari. Eng. Itani said that there are many economic sectors in Lebanon which have promising investment opportunities, namely agrofood industries, hospital tourism, medicines, media and information technology. Najari expressed his country's desire to increase Lebanese exports to Egypt by importing more Lebanese products, especially agricultural ones.
