PRESS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE LEBANON'S PARTICIPATION AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2016

IDAL participated in the press conference organized today at the Ministry of Tourism to announce Lebanon's participation at the Cannes Film Festival 2016, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Michel Pharaon, the Minister of Culture Rony Araiji, IDAL`s chairman Mr. Nabil Itani and the president of Liban Cinema Foundation Maya De Freij. Itani said that this participation contribute to the support of the film industry in Lebanon as a vital sector.

EXTENSION OF THE “MARITIME LEBANESE EXPORTS BRIDGE” (M.LEB) PROGRAM

IDAL’s Chairman Engineer Nabil Itani announced the extension of the “Maritime Lebanese Exports Bridge” (M.Leb) program till 31/03/2017. The mentioned program has achieved positive results, bringing the number of trucks exported aboard ferries to 715 trucks, during the 16 cruises. The volume of exported goods reached 16,000 tons.

We have signed along with the Chamber of Commerce , Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon Memorandum of Understanding with the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands represented by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers Mr. Tamam Salam and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mr. Mark Rotti, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Alain Hakim.

"JOINT ARAB COOPERATION ... THE BASIS FOR DEVELOPMENT AND PEACE" CONFERENCE

IDAL participated at the “Joint Arab cooperation ... the basis for development and peace” conference organized by the Arab Women Investors Union in Sharm el-Sheikh. Chairman Mr. Nabil Itani stated in an intervention that the FDI to the Arab world is witnessing a drop of 9% per annum since 2011 as a result of the unstable situation. He called for a comprehensive Arab vision for economic development to face the current challenges and pave the way for a promising future based on successful experiences in the world. Itani was handed an appreciation trophy from the Union.
