IDAL organized a tour of a number of incubators and business accelerators, where it held meetings with startups in order to introduce the newly established Business Support Unit at its premises. The Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani said that the ICT sector is very promising and shows readiness for investment given the availability of specialized human resources in this field.
IDAL participated at “Tripoli Economic Capital of Lebanon and its Location on the Silk Road” conference organized by the CCIA of Tripoli and the North.
Chairman Nabil Itani declared that Lebanon has recorded several positive indicators during 2017, with an increase of 1.5 % of the GDP. He added that IDAL has processed 75 projects during the past year, up by 60 % comparing to 2016, expecting these projects would create more than 10 thousand jobs when implemented.
IDAL took part at the Forum "Experience Exchange and Collaboration Alternatives", organized at the Four Seasons for a business delegation from Armenia visiting Beirut. The meeting was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and best ways on doing business between Armenia and Lebanon mainly in the Technology, Industry, Agriculture, Pharma and many other promising sectors. In his intervention, Chairman of IDAL Eng. Nabil Itani highlighted the competitive advantages that Lebanon has to offer to the Businessmen and the initiation of a new Business Unit at IDAL.
In the framework of supporting the promotion and the marketing of Lebanese agrofood industries, the Chairman of IDAL Eng. Nabil Itani, delivered a check of the approved amount covering IDAL’s contribution at the Lebanese pavilion at Fancy Food Show and Anuga to the President of the Syndicate of the Lebanese Food Industrialists (SLFI) Mr. Ahmed Hoteit. Eng. Itani said that this sector is very promising and must be provided with means of support, in order to help in the promotion of its production abroad and access new markets. He noted that this sector boosts many advantages enabling it to constitute 2.6% of the GDP. Hoteit explained that the support allows the participation of a bigger number of Lebanese exhibitors to market their products as well as promote the name of Lebanon as a leading producer.
