IDAL's Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani, met with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli, Mr. Toufic Dabboussi, in the presence of a number of businessmen from the region. Itani toured the quality control laboratories at the headquarters of the chamber, where he checked the international food safety quality standards that are applied to ensure a high quality product. He also visited a preparatory workshop for agro food industry facilities in Cheka.
The Chairman of IDAL Eng. Nabil Itani handed over the Package Deal Contract to Glass Pack SAL project. Itani declared that this new project will cater the need of the local market to glass containers, considering that the important potential it relies on, basically, the use of advanced technology, enable him to grow and export to the neighboring countries. Glass Pack is a factory located in the Taanayel area for the production of glass containers. The investment project is valued at US $ 30,446,000 and will provide 114 direct jobs upon completion.
Within its role in supporting the productive sectors, IDAL participated today at the press conference held at the ministry of health to launch the Lebanese Forum of Health Care Industries that will be organized during the first week of July. IDAL's chairman Eng. Nabil Itani stressed the need of building a strategy that will contribute in the development of the sector which bursts with promising opportunities.
For the 3rd consecutive year, IDAL, in partnership with Fondation Liban Cinema (FLC) and the Lebanese Office du Tourisme in Paris, will welcome local filmmakers at the Lebanese pavilion in Cannes between May 17-28. Also, we are proud to support this year LEBANON FACTORY 2017 which will showcase 4 short films co-directed by 4 talented Lebanese young directors. Four Lebanese young directors (Ahmad Ghossein, Mounia Akl, Shirin Abou Chacra, and Rami Kodeih) were chosen and invited to co-write and co-direct 4 short movies with 4 other non-Lebanese directors. The world premiere screening of these films will be held on Thursday, May 18, at the Théâtre Croisette.
