VISIT OF THE AMBASSADOR OF NEW ZEALAND TO LEBANON H.E. MR. GREG LEWIS

Newly appointed non-resident Ambassador of New Zealand to Lebanon H.E. Mr. Greg Lewis met with IDAL Chairman Mr. Nabil Itani, accompanied by New Zealand Honorary Consul in Beirut Mr. Mahmoud Haidar. Following a brief introduction on IDAL, the discussion focused on developing bilateral trade and investments across priority sectors. Participants also followed up on a recent visit by IDAL’s counterpart New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) and proposed tangible ways to attract New Zealand investors to Lebanon and boost Lebanese exports to New Zealand.

A unique tech experience in the Cedars! Neumann is a Lebanese tech company that has developed an automated all-in-one analytical artificial intelligence platform to process real time data. Neumann has received financial incentives and business support from IDAL upon establishment and has created 22 job opportunities. We have visited Neumann as part of our routine visits to the investment projects that have benefited from IDAL’s incentives.
VISIT TO CHOUF BIOSPHERE RESERVE

IDAL and the Chouf Biosphere Reserve have organized a workshop to encourage and enhance investments in the Chouf region. The workshop which included municipality members, cooperatives, exporters, and key stakeholders, were presented with IDAL's cluster management strategy to scale up their businesses and create more job opportunities.
WORKSHOP ON E-COMMERCE

We took part in a workshop on E-commerce at the Grand Serail in the presence of PM Saad Hariri with the participation of the World Bank. The workshop aimed to gain insight into the main areas of improvement by listening to experts and businesses in the field; so that SMEs in Lebanon can have better access to international markets and scale-up.
