CANNES FILM FESTIVAL

In 2015, IDAL partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and Fondation Liban Cinema to support the promotion of Lebanese films and the movie industry at the Cannes Film Festival 2015 edition.

In 2016 and for the second consecutive year, IDAL continued its support to Lebanese Filmmakers at the Cannes Film Festival.

3 Lebanese movies have made us proud by being selected to either premiere at Cannes Film Festival or to take part in Cinéfondation competition that supports the new generations of filmmakers.

PRESS CONFERENCE TO ANNOUNCE LEBANON'S PARTICIPATION AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2016

IDAL participated in the press conference organized today at the Ministry of Tourism to announce Lebanon's participation at the Cannes Film Festival 2016, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Michel Pharaon, the Minister of Culture Rony Araiji, IDAL`s chairman Mr. Nabil Itani and the president of Liban Cinema Foundation Maya De Freij. Itani said that this participation contribute to the support of the film industry in Lebanon as a vital sector.

EXTENSION OF THE “MARITIME LEBANESE EXPORTS BRIDGE” (M.LEB) PROGRAM

IDAL’s Chairman Engineer Nabil Itani announced the extension of the “Maritime Lebanese Exports Bridge” (M.Leb) program till 31/03/2017. The mentioned program has achieved positive results, bringing the number of trucks exported aboard ferries to 715 trucks, during the 16 cruises. The volume of exported goods reached 16,000 tons.

We have signed along with the Chamber of Commerce , Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon Memorandum of Understanding with the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands represented by the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI), under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers Mr. Tamam Salam and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mr. Mark Rotti, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Alain Hakim.
