WORKSHOP ON "TAX AND ACCOUNTING FOR STARTUPS"

IDAL, through its Business Support Unit, organized a workshop on "Tax and Accounting for Startups" in Tripoli in cooperation with the CCIAT and BIAT. The Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani announced the expansion of the work of the unit, launched last February, to include all the Lebanese regions. The mentioned Unit has so far provided services to 39 startups.

FOREST RESORT GOT THE PACKAGE DEAL CONTRACT

The Chairman of IDAL, Eng. Nabil Itani handed over the Package Deal Contract to the Forest Resort. The investment value of this project, which belongs to the tourism sector, is about USD 18 million. Upon completion, it will provide 219 new jobs. Eng. Itani stressed that this project, located in the Ain Saadeh Region, is an architectural landmark in the tourism sector in the region and Lebanon.

MEETING WITH THE SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION OF ARAB CHAMBERS DR. KHALED HANAFI

IDAL's Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani discussed with the Secretary General of the Federation of Arab Chambers Dr. Khaled Hanafi the enhancement of the economic relations between Arab countries through the strengthening and the increase of inter-Arab trade, the activation of inter-Arab investments and the attraction of FDI to the region. They stressed the need to keep pace with modern technology and encourage entrepreneurship and its role in inspiring Arab youth to launch innovative ideas and turn them into projects.

GLOBAL SNACKS COMPANY S.A.L. GOT THE PACKAGE DEAL CONTRACT

IDAL Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani handed over the package deal contract (PDC) to the Global Snacks Company S.A.L. represented by its Chairman Mr. Abdullah Daher. The project consists of a factory to be established in the Forzol area to produce flour, all kinds of grains, roasted corn and oats with fruits and chocolates, with an investment size of 10 million USD and 92 job opportunities. The incentives granted to the project include full exemption from income tax up to 10 years, reduction of construction license fees, full exemption from registration fees and work permits of all categories for foreign employees.
