IDAL participated at the "Future Health" Forum opening organized by the Ministry of Public Health along with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group. IDAL`s Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani said that Lebanon boosts many promising opportunities enabling it to become a hub for health tourism in the region. He said that the health sector is one of the most favorable sectors that can attract investors, especially in the field of health services centered on modern technology alike biotech and e-health portals.
IDAL and OECD concluded the regional conference " Promoting business linkages in global value chains: Policies and tools” and the National Conference "Promoting inclusive Investment for Local Development in Lebanon" Within the framework of the EU and the OECD program to promote investment in the Mediterranean region. The recommendations stressed the need to proceed with the infrastructure program, promote economic zones, boost expatriate investments and activate the cooperation between the public and private sectors.
IDAL and the OECD organized a regional seminar on “Promoting business linkages in global value chains: Policies and tools”, hosting governmental representatives along with investment and development officials from Mediterranean countries.
IDAL Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani declared during the opening session that “the strengthening of business linkages is very important to remain competitive in today`s globalized world. This conference will provide us with the necessary tools to improve those linkages and ultimately serve the local economic development of our economies.”
IDAL sponsored the Lebanese Pavilion at the 4th Digital Games Conference and Exhibition held in Dubai on April 12-13, 2018. Chairman, Eng. Nabil Itani, said that the Lebanese SMEs in the field of technology are showing a great readiness for investments, as they are able to take advantage of the growing trend of the digital gaming market in the Middle East and North Africa region, estimated at USD 4 billion in 2017.
