Nabil Itani held a joint press conference with the Minister of Industry Wael Abou Faour during which they announced the cooperation in the field of studies and encouragement of investment in the industrial sector. The two sides stressed the need to promote the industrial sector as an essential economic pillar and a major catalyst for growth.

IDAL welcomed a delegation from the Australia Lebanon Chamber of Commerce & Industry headed by Mr. Faddy Zouki. IDAL's chairman Mr. Nabil Itani and the delegation discussed ways to encourage Lebanese expatriates to invest in Lebanon. The discussions tackled also the One Cluster One Product Initiative launched by IDAL and ways of strengthening the economic linkage between the Lebanese abroad and their mother country.

WORKSHOP "BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGIES IN AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT"

IDAL and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development organized a workshop entitled "Breakthrough Technologies in Agro-Industrial Supply Chain Management" at the Bristol Hotel. IDAL`s Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani stressed the need to rely on artificial intelligence from now on, pointing out that most industries in the world adopt the next generation advanced operating models and innovative marketing modes, which help them to flourish in a competitive environment, through reducing costs, increasing productivity and creating more added value.
