WORKSHOP ON THE CHINESE LOAN REPAYMENT

IDAL organized an introductory workshop on the implementation mechanism of the Chinese loan repayment program through Lebanese products, at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Tripoli and North Lebanon, in the presence of the IDAL’s Chairman, Engineer Nabil Itani, and the President of the Chamber, Mr. Toufic Dabbousi and a number of Lebanese producers.

IDAL organized on Feb. 12, 2016 an introductory workshop on the implementation mechanism of the Chinese loan repayment program through Lebanese products in the Hasbaya region. IDAL’s Chairman, Engineer Nabil Itani said that the products selected as commodities to repay the mentioned loan are among the best Lebanese food industries, especially olive oil, which penetrated into new markets during the past two years, and canned goods, including fruits, vegetables and jams, constituting a large share of the total food industry exports.

VISIT OF ECONOMIC DELEGATION FROM OMAN

IDAL welcomed today an Economic Delegation from Oman to explore investment opportunities in Lebanon. The delegation which was headed by the President of the Omani Chamber of Commerce Mr. Saeed Bin Saleh Alkioumi was accompanied by the President of the Chamber of Commerce , Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon Mr. Mohamad Choucair and the Ambassador of Lebanon to Oman Mr. Houssam Diab. Chairman of IDAL, Mr. Nabil Itani, presented Lebanon's investment climate and the various opportunities available across the productive sectors.

The Chairman of IDAL, Engineer Nabil Itani, held a press conference at 11:00 at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut, to announce the launch of the Chinese loan repayment through the export of Lebanese products. The President of the Chamber, Mr. Mohamed Choucair and the chargée d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy, Zhang Finling participated in this conference, with the presence of Lebanese exporting companies.
