IDAL organized a workshop, hosting Minister of Economy and Trade Raoul Nehme to discuss amendments to the implementation decrees of the Investment Law. Minister Nehme stressed the need to expand the scope of IDAL's work to ease business and remove obstacles. IDAL`s Chairman, Dr. Mazen Soueid, stated that the best thing the government could do is to facilitate the work of investors by reducing the bureaucracy and red tape.

IDAL hosted a workshop with the Minister of Tourism Dr. Ramzi Musharrafieh on the amendments to be introduced to the Investment law implementation decrees. The participants stressed the need to support the tourism sector in the current circumstances, especially health tourism and religious cultural tourism.

IDAL organized the "Tripoli Day at IDAL", presenting the project of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli for the development of Tripoli, the "National Economic Organization from Greater Tripoli", in the presence of Minister of Public Works Michel Najjar, Chairman of IDAL, Dr. Mazen Soueid and Chairman of the Tripoli Chamber, Toufic Daboussi. The project, which extends over an area of 21 million square meters, identifies development and growth opportunities along the coastal region from Tripoli to Klayaat Airport, and consists of an international regional port, a regional airport with international advanced specifications and a service platform for oil and gas, which would constitute a large area for business and investment.

IDAL's Chairman, Dr. Mazen Soueid, discussed expatriates’ affairs with the "LDE" team in the presence of the Director of Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bilal Qablan. The attendees discussed the organization of the annual conference for 2020 via the Internet in the current situation, given the importance of ongoing communication with expatriates.
